Snowdon

Ryd du Path on a cold and wintery morning.

Summary

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and is also known as Yr Wyddfa in Welsh. It is the second highest mountain in the United Kingdom too. There are many paths leading to the summit that include 1. Crib Goch, 2. The Watkins path 3. south ridge, 4. PYG track, 5 .Rhyd du path, 6. miners track, 7. ranger path, 8. Llanberis path. I have been up Snowdon a number of times and up different routes that are Crib Goch, the Watkins path, PYG track and Rhyd du path. I have enjoyed everything single route! Especially when it has been good weather and the sunshine has shone over the valley. In the summer time you can make your way to the summit on the train and have lunch at the cafe on the summit which I haven’t done yet. I don’t think you can say you have been up Snowdon though unless you have climbed it!
