Peak District
The Peak District in Derbyshire is an area I am less familiar with, purely because I have always gone North, whereas the national park is in central England. I am sure the more I explore, no doubt this page will grow in time. While the popularity of the park has grown, behind the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District the more I read up on the area the more it interests me. The landscape entices all walks of life from around England, offering steep white limestone valleys to dark dramatic gritstone ridges. It’s no wonder this area is becoming more and more popular.
Following this, a few places to visit have been recommended to me that I would love to explore and add to this page:
Robin Hoods Stride, Harboro rocks & Cave, Magpie Mine, Peters Stone, Curbar Edge, Black Rock, The Snake Woodland, Thors Cave, Packhouse Hill, Castleton, Winntas Path & The Edale Skyline.
Below you will find the hikes/walks have ratings of difficulty and contain mainly my own adventure stories, routes, GPX files and, photographs where I hope you too can discover your very own Peak District adventure.
