Scafell pike

Summary

Scafell Pike is the highest mountain in England is a well-known hike where there are many routes up to the summit. We set off from Wasdale head and walked along the corridor route which and is the most popular. The route takes you through a farm track (clockwise) and on to the steep valley to get onto the corridor route. The path is a single track can be quite undulating after you have climbed out of the valley of Wasdale head so you have to be careful on foot as there is loose rock, especially when wet. The summit plateau can be tricky to negotiate in mist so be sure to take a map or download the gpx file onto your navigation.

Take note though that because it is a popular walk it can quite over crowded.
